Frequently Asked Questions
How will I receive my tickets upon ordering?
Please read the ticket application form carefully as all details about this process is explained there. Upon us recieving payment confirmation, your ticket(s) should be emailed to the address you provide in the ticket application form. Or, just keep your ticket confirmation number(s) and bring it with ID to our front gate at the event.
Could you tell me a little more about the wandering vendor passes? Do they include camping as well as access to the event?
The wandering vendor pass allows you to walk around and sell items at Musefest. Many don't have enough merchandise to sell at a full booth, or simply don't want to be tied down. We do not allow unapproved vending at Musefest, please visit our vendor page for more information. This wandering vendor pass does not buy you admittance to the festival. You still need a ticket. General camping is free with a ticket.
Where is Musefest going to be held?
Musefest is held at a beautiful site in Enfield NY. The Lodge is about 10 miles west of Ithaca NY, and has been home to Musefest for many years. Please be respectful to the landowners and neighbors by adhering to all posted rules and regulations. Thank You. Directions to the site will be posted soon.
Where/How can I get tickets?
Tickets for the event are available at the Musefest Website, select ticket locations and from musicians performing at the event.
Musefest performers receive a portion of the ticket price from tickets they have available, please support our wonderful family of musicians.
Tickets will be available at the gate during the event, we highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance. If you choose to purchase your ticket at the gate, please arrive with cash in hand. No credit cards are available at the gate.
How can I be involved?
Musefest is about building a community based on love, mutual respect, and freedom. We are a volunteer run, not for profit organization. By volunteering a part of your weekend to help the event run smooth and successfully, you can be reimbursed for your ticket and earn free admittance.
We accept volunteer applications on a first come, first serve basis, so please contact us soon for info on the application process. If you plan to arrive at the gate and volunteer, be prepared to purchase a ticket. Walk up volunteers may not be accepted this year.
I have a funky groove jam band from Boston, can we play?
Perhaps! We receive an overwhelming number of band applications and demo materials from performers all over the U.S. While there are a few performers from outside of the Ithaca area that get selected, the Musefest is designed to highlight and promote the best music of the Ithaca NY area.
How can I get a copy of the Musefest compilation CD?
The best way is to buy at Musefest at the Merchandise booth where we have general supplies, Musefest Shirts and CD's as well as merchandise from performers. We have Musefest Live CD's in stock, as well as Musefest 2006 compilations, T-shirts from previous years, and more. Check back often for updates or visit us at the Musefest Merchandise table at this years event.
We also do have Musefest merchandise available by mail, if you are patient. Just email us if you want to buy something in particular.
What is the Muse Magazine? Where can I get a copy?
The Muse magazine is a comprehensive overview and update about Ithaca NY's musical culture. It highlights the most up to date happenings with local performers, venues, and local culture. Expansive in scope, the magazine has included articles about technology in music, family issues, environmental issues and much more. Every year the magazine has improved as it is crafted skillfully by talented volunteers and handed out at retail shops and events all over upstate NY. Last year we successfully distributed 20,000 copies! We will be posting articles from previous Muse magazines as well as current band write ups and articles at this website shortly, but if you can hunt down a copy of the magazine, we think you will be impressed.
